Today was a relaxing day

Breakfast wasn't a real succes, the lime juice had a weird taste and even though the scrambled egg tasted jummy, it gave me a tummy ache a little while after :/ That was just me though, everybody else was doing fine.

So at 9 we left the hotel to visit a little Buddhist temple complex that was about 100 years old. It was about a 10 minute walk so not that far. It was a nice little complex, over a bridge, up in the mountain a bit. It was quite a few steps up to get there. there were several little temples anda few big buildings, all with beautiful decorations. It all looked very pretty so high up between the mountains and trees.

From there on we walked to our next stop, which was about 2 kilometres away.large_938978_1428527000714.jpg We went on another boat ride in Tam Coc, only this time it were small 2 person sampans. It was so nice and quiet and peaceful! What was fun and weird to see was that the persons steering the boat weren't rowing with their hands most of the time, but with their feet. They only used there hands if they needed to go through narrow bends. Logical i guess because if you row for like an hour it's better to do with feet then hands...better for your back as well.

Anyway the andscapre was very pretty, karstmountains, rice fields, quite a few flowers and cows and birds. We went through some tunnels/caves under those mountains. One of them was really deep into the mountain, we saw quite a few stalactites and stalacmites, and of course there were formations that looked like something, in this case Buddha. We also saw a group of bats.

The way back was a bit faster of course, but it didn't matter. Sitting on a wooden bench for so long started to hurt a bit too...

After that it was on to our hotel, with a few stops for lunch and toilet and stretching the legs, it took nearly the rest of the day to go there. Our hotel was in Vinh, a nice quiet place where there were almost no tourists. the weather was nice so it was just fine walking around a bit and stretching legs after such a long day. We also talked to a few students who wanted to improve their English.
